I'm often asked why I became a veterinarian, but I never imagined myself doing anything else. I was fortunate in life that I was able to follow my passion, first with a science degree at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and then my veterinary degree at the Atlantic Veterinary College.
After school we spent 6.5 years in large progressive veterinary clinics in Western Canada, but being from this area, our hearts were always here and the opportunity to move back home to work and raise our family was too good to pass up and in 2015 Kristina and I purchased Sackville Animal Hospital.
Kristina and I live on a hobby farm with our two daughters, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 horses and numerous other small farm animals. When outside of the hospital, I like to golf, watch as many Leaf games as I can and spend as much time with my family as I can fit in the day. For me there is nothing more important than family and I consider pets part of the family.
My goal day in and day out is to try and make sure that people get as much quality and quantity with their furry family as possible. I enjoy preventative medicine, dental health and cancer treatment but above all the uniqueness that each day in veterinarian medicine brings.
